What is your educational background?
I graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in 1991 and then received my Bachelor’s Degree in dental hygiene from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1996. I have worked in very progressive general practices most of my career. I spent three years at UNC working in the department of periodontics and I was also involved in research and teaching at UNC School of Dentistry.

What is your current practice?
I work part-time in a comprehensive/cosmetic practice in Charlotte. I work with Dr. Chris Bowman. I also run a hygiene consulting business called Inspired Hygiene. What do you enjoy most about being a hygienist?
I love connecting with people. Once you are in a practice for awhile, you really get to know your patients and I love that. As dental professionals, we can really make a difference in our patients’ overall health — and that is very rewarding.
When were you introduced to Oxyfresh?
Oxyfresh Master Marketing Director Anne Duffy first introduced me to Oxyfresh back in the 90s. Then we reconnected in 2003 when I moved to Charlotte. Anne a great friend and mentor.

What is your favorite Oxyfresh product and why?
Power Rinse is my favorite because it plays such a big role in healing and maintenance with my perio patients. And it helps me keep my own breath fresh all day long.
What are your hobbies and passions in life?
My family! My first child, Anna, was born this summer and she is a joy!
Who is the most influential person in your life that played a major role in your success?
My parents and my husband. They have all supported me no matter what. My husband is my biggest fan and is always a positive supporter.
