Mel Babad

Mel Babad, DMD
Hamilton, New Jersey

What is your educational background?

I got my BA in Biology at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and my DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia.

How long have you practiced dentistry?

35 years.

What is your current practice?

I have a family practice with an emphasis on aesthetic dentistry and oral rehabilitation.

What do you enjoy most about being a dentist?

I love the constant interaction with my patients, many of whom have been coming to me for decades. I took over an old practice, which had been in existence for 40 years. Our patients trust us to be involved and devoted with their personal health. I also love problem-solving and finding creative solutions to difficult problems.

When were you introduced to Oxyfresh?

I was introduced to Oxyfresh about 15 years ago by a fellow dentist (Barry Rabinowitz), a pedodontist.

What is your favorite Oxyfresh product and why?

The Dental Gel. It’s the product that first opened my eyes to the uniqueness of Oxyfresh ingredients and the product with which I’ve had the most dramatic success over the years. It’s also the product that supported a great deal of my Oxyfresh business growth in the dental market.

What are your hobbies and passions in life?

My wife, Shirley, and I are passionate about travel. We’ve been to most of the world and make a point of never going more than three months without getting away somewhere. We enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new countries and itineraries. Traveling also allows me to indulge in a few of my hobbies, including photography and snorkeling. If I’m not in my office I’m probably on a cruise ship!

Who is the most influential person in your life that played a major role in your success?

My father. He was a dedicated physician, loved by his patients. He even made house calls. Both my brother and I never considered NOT going into a medical profession. We had such a good role model of a life well-lived, we could only hope to live a life so rich.
