What is your educational background?
I went to a two-year community college (Wayne Community College) in Goldsboro, N.C.
How long have you practiced dental hygiene?
Twenty-four years.
What is your current practice?
I do hygiene on a substitute basis (contract) and am a clinical educator for Oxyfresh products in dental offices.
What do you enjoy most about being a dental hygienist?
I love my profession and taking care of my patients. I always want to recommend the best oral care products and have tried many that did not deliver the results they promised. Who is the most influential person in your life that played a major role in your success?
My dad inspires me with his work ethic and his desire to help others. He has helped me become a powerful and independent woman.
