Diane Hodges Cook

Diane Hodges Cook, RDH
Sandia, TX

What is your educational background?

I graduated from Baylor Dental School with a degree in dental hygiene.

How long have you practiced hygiene?

Ever since earning my degree in 1960. I have practiced hygiene in Florida, Maryland and Texas.

What is your current practice?

My residual income from Oxyfresh has allowed me to limit my hygienist schedule to just one day a week at a small practice in Sandia.

What do you enjoy most about being a hygienist?

Showing children that coming to see the hygienist can actually be a pleasant experience; helping adults keep their teeth for a lifetime.

When were you introduced to Oxyfresh?

A colleague shared the opportunity with me in 1991. Once I saw the business plan, I knew Oxyfresh would be a perfect fit. I discovered that building a secondary income with Oxyfresh to fund my retirement would not interfere with my hygiene schedule at the time. In fact, I was able to save money for retirement and cut my practice hours!

What is your favorite Oxyfresh product and why?

I am amazed with Oxyfresh’s versatile Dental Gels. My patients love them because they soothe, promote healing, condition gums and freshen breath. These Gels do it all!

What are your hobbies and passions in life?

Spending time with family and friends and tending to my horse, Legend. I love watching my grandchildren participate in sports, ballet, music — and life.

Who is the most influential person in your life that played a major role in your success?

Dr. Thomas McDonald, the first dentist I worked with. I was still attending high school and he told me about this new field of dental hygiene. I would never have had the opportunity to provide for my family as a single parent and enjoy the success I’ve had with Oxyfresh had it not been for Dr. McDonald.
