This Gem of a Gel
As a practice management consultant to thousands of denturists and dentists alike and a one time owner of a large denture practice, I am always on the look out for products that support patient health and wellness while making dental professionals shine in the eyes of our patients. As the Oxygene™ also deodorizes, there will not be present that fetid odor and excessive exudates typically found beneath the immediate denture upon removal the day post denture placement. Furthermore, when the patient is encouraged to continue to apply the gel in the denture on a daily basis, we have observed a remarkable increase in the rate of healing as compared to when no gel is used.
For patients displaying hyperemia under a full or partial denture, we advise the regimen of brushing the denture (as well as any remaining teeth) with the Oxyfresh toothpaste, soaking it overnight in Oxyfresh Alcohol-free Mouthrinse, and applying Super Relief Gel to all tissue-bearing surfaces of the prosthesis as well as to any affected areas. The Oxyfresh Gel also helps to control oral candidiasis, thrush, and oral yeast problems. When used with a soft denture liner, there is a notable lack of odor absorbed by the denture and a marked decrease in tissue inflammation. We have found the Gel to decrease the incidence of denture sores while making the denture more pleasant to wear by providing a cushioning effect. With this increased comfort comes the need for far fewer denture adjustments and far greater satisfaction on the part of the denture patient.
We have used the Super Relief Gel to treat viral ulcerations, both intra- and extra-orally and have found it to be effective in shortening the duration of aphthous ulcers, pericoronitis, and angular cheilitis (cracks in the corners of the mouth) and in cases of trauma, bruises, and cuts. Of course, the Oxyfresh Gel also has a long list of uses for periodontal patients and post-treatment of these cases.
